QCT

In contrast to the microCT scanners our pQCT scanner (Stratec XT 2000L) is able to xray live animals and humans, as long as the required area to be xrayed is less than 14cm in diameter. The best resolution is at 100µm. The force of the pQCT xray machine is the ability to do studies on living creatures as it uses a very low dose of radiation. Due to the low radiation dosis it is possible to do repeat scans of the the same individual without exceeding the recommended dosis of radiation as set by the Health Authorities.

For further information on the pQCT scanner please go to StraTec Medizintech or visit the lab for a chat on the various possibilities of this equipment.
